Description

**As of January 6, 2023 , This project has not yet been awarded. The Project is expected to be awarded on January 12, 2023.** For the Davis Creek Lift Station, work includes removing the existing dry well; rehabilitating the existing wet well; replacing the electrical platform; relocating the existing chemical feed system and chemical holding tank; installing triplex pumps into the new wet well (Owner provided); electrical improvements; miscellaneous site improvements; together with necessary appertaining work. For the Woodrum Lane Lift Station, work includes converting the existing wet well into an influent manhole; installing new duplex packaged lift station; installing new permanent bypass pump and associated valves and piping; electrical improvements; miscellaneous site improvements; together with necessary appertaining work. Per the requirements of the Article 21-1D-5 of the Code of the State of West Virginia, any Contractor submitting a bid for a public improvement construction contract shall provide an affidavit of compliance that the Contractor has a written drug-free workplace policy. Failure to complete and submit the Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit Form shall result in disqualification of the Bid. A cashiers check payable to "The Sanitary Board of the City of Charleston" or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company approved by the CSB, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid, to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a Contract, if given the Attention to the Bidders is called to the Instructions to Bidders, which are included in the Contract Documents. Successful Bidders shall be required to comply with all laws pertaining to minimum wage and discrimination of persons. The CSB reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and is not necessarily bound to accept the lowest Bid, if that Bid is contrary to the best interest of the CSB.
