Description | As of May 2, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. This project is included in Sedgwick County Capital Improvement Adopted 2023 Plan. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has developed a plan to continue improvements on East Kellogg with a Progressive Design-Build project. It will will include reconstruction of roughly 2.5 miles of East Kellogg from K-96 to just east of 159th Street. Work will include adding travel lanes and frontage roads, interchange improvements at K-96, and grade separated intersections at 143rd and 159th Streets *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
