Description | The City of Madison desires all street terraces, including the curb areas, to be finish mowed on a weekly basis. All street terraces shall be maintained to ensure there is no curb overgrowth. The first four (4) feet inside of the property line of each parcel shall also be finish mowed on a bi-weekly basis or, if needed, on a weekly basis. The remaining interior of the parcels shall be flail mowed 1-3 times per year, as needed.The contractor will use best judgment to determine the needed frequency for property line finish mowing and interior lot flail mowing. Seasonal weather, particularly rainfall, will contribute to the need for more or less frequent mowing. If there is a question as to the needed frequency of mowing on any particular property, the contractor may call the designated Economic Development Division (EDD) staff person for a decision on mowing. Any chemical agent, insecticide, fertilizer, or other additive proposed to be used by the contractor must meet or exceed all federal, State, and local laws, regulations guidelines, and limitations (including prohibitions) for its use. The City of Madison reserves the right to restrict or ban the use of any chemical agent, insecticide, fertilizer or additive on the City's property. Any use or application by the contractor of pesticides on City property shall conform where applicable to Chapter ATCP 29 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code, regarding posting requirements, with all costs of compliance to be paid by the contractor. Questions Due Date: January 13, 2023 Answers Posted Date: January 20, 2023. The term of this contract shall be from April 1, 2023 through October 31, 2023. There will be four (4) optional one (1) year extensions offered upon mutual agreement of both parties. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids submitted, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities or technicalities, which at the City's discretion is determined to be in the best interests of the City. Further, the City makes no representations that a contract will be awarded to any Bidder responding to this request. The City expressly reserves the right to reject any and all Bids responding to this invitation without indicating any reasons for such rejection(s). |
