Description | **As of June 21, 2023, bids were not awarded due to insufficient funds. No definite date for the rebid.** 20 Mile Rd forest road class A improvement - 2.68 miles between Hancock Rd and S Pea Line Rd Pickford Twp T44N, R1W, Sec 8,9 & 10 Project consists of 2.68 miles of forest road improvements; shape, level , grade, and fill existing roadway and replace 2 equalization culverts Questions Due 5/5/23 at noon. all questions should be emailed to Sharon Conley, at ConleyS2@michigan.gov. Completion by Nov 1, 2023 Provide lump sum pricing for the following (grading, shaping & filling): o Shape and level the existing subgrade roadbed using existing materials along the roadbed to a width of no less than 14'-0" This area is marked in "Blue" on map. o Shaping and leveling of the roadbed should result in drainage off the roadbed and maintain an approximate 14'-0" wide roadbed. o Cap each segment area with crushed gravel (23A) at a minimum of 4" thick; pit-run gravel may be used for spot filling existing holes and/or soft areas in the road. i. Areas where pit-run gravel is used to fill holes/soft areas, cap the pit-run with crushed gravel (23A) at a minimum of 2" thick. o Final shaping, leveling and the roadbed should result in drainage off the roadbed to maintain an approximate 14'-0" wide after new crushed and/or pit-run gravel is placed on awarded segment. o Install two (2) equalization culverts as listed on the map. i. One equalization culvert is 24" x 30' (marked on site). ii. One equalization culvert is 24" x 20' (marked on site). 1. Place riprap on each end of culverts installed. |
