Description

Salem Area Mass Transit District (SAMTD) is soliciting bids to provide services to remove and dispose of an existing above ground vehicle lift and install a new above ground vehicle lift in the Maintenance shop located at our Del Webb facility. It is the intent of these specifications to describe the minimum acceptable requirements for obtaining a new parallelogram lift. Remove and replace the current OMER Vega 240/50 parallelogram lift with one of similar specifications. The current lift is flush mounted. (Ground recessed) The recessed dimensions are 32'8"L x 8'7.12""W x 15.5"D. This lift will be used in a wet, steam rack type of environment. Vendor will be responsible for any permits or fees. Vendor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the current OMER lift. All drawings for the OMER lift are attached. Specifications: The proposed new lift will fit into the current recessed area without modifications or need for construction activities. The proposed new lift will use existing electrical circuits 480vac/3ph/60hz. The proposed lift will have: o Minimum 50,000lb lifting capacity o Components Hot-Dipped Galvanized and/or stainless steel for outdoor or wash-bay use o A panel with a galvanized weather proof cover for the controls. o All electrical connections weather proof. All Bidders will provide lift literature for all equipment proposed. Vendor will commission the lift and provide training to SAMTD staff on the operation of the lift. Warranty and Training: Standard 3 year warranty covering parts and labor. Please describe and provide warranty information on item being offered. SAMTD reserves the right to cancel this ITB / solicitation at any time without liability prior to execution of a contract by SAMTD if it is in SAMTD's or the public's best interest and is not liable for any costs the firm incurs while preparing or presenting the bid. All Bids will become part of the public file without obligation to SAMTD. SAMTD enforces the right to wave irregularities anytime through the solicitation process. Bids submitted or received after the date and time indicated herein shall not be accepted without a prior extension of the closing date or time by SAMTD. Requests for extensions of the bid closing date or time may be requested prior to the deadline for receipt of Bidder questions noted above. Timely requests will be considered, but SAMTD reserves the right to extend the due date or decline to extend the due date at its sole discretion. Bidder shall comply with, and require all of their subcontractors to comply with Federal, State, County, and City contractor's licensing laws, and be duly registered and licensed thereunder. Bidder shall provide a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of (100%) of the subcontract price unless otherwise noted in the individual Bid package. The Bidder is responsible for the payment of all bills for labor and materials furnished by, or to, their subcontractors and itself. Upon presentation of the billing, subcontractor shall certify that they are submitting such lien waivers for all of their lower tier subcontractors and material suppliers that have furnished services or materials for the previous billing period.
