Description

A groundbreaking ceremony took place November 17, 2022. Construction is expected to last 12 to 18 months Project Description: This project will be a replacement of the existing Washington Westfield Public Library. The new building (54,000 SF) will be two stories, the west wing belonging to the Westfield Washington Township. The Westfield Washington Township wing is to be priced separately from the Library building. Proposals: Please submit on company letterhead. Breakout pricing between the Library and the Township (west "wing", Column Line N through R). Alternates in spec 01 23 00 Alternates. Break out the alternates between Library and Township as well. Taxes: Tax Exempt Schedule: Construction to begin November 2022 and finish January 2024. We will accept any form of bid packaging, and will fill scope gaps as needed(ex. if you would like to bid flooring, but cannot provide all flooring types, we will still take your bid). 2. Scopes of Work - No detailed scopes will be issued before bid day. Please provide what services/materials/etc. that you typically perform. If you have specific scope questions, or would like a sample scope, you may request one via email. 3. Cost Breakout Between Township & Library - Break out costs if you can. If you can’t, we will break out on a SF percentage basis between areas. Any site items do not need to be broken out. We will break the site items out on a SF percentage basis. 4. Bid Bonds - None Required 5. Performance & Payment Bonds - Not required at this time. We will re-visit with the low bidders with scopes of work over $500,000. 6. Private Project - This is a private project utilizing the Build-Operate-Transfer Model (BOT). This means there will be no public bid requirements (i.e. bid forms, mailed forms, official bid packages, etc.) 7. Meyer Najem is the General Contractor - Your contract will be with Meyer Najem 8.
