Library Expansion - Deerfield Public Library

Proposed plans for an expansion and remodel of the library. Plans are to include a large plot of land north (towards Nelson Lumber) with more parking, a bit of expansion west (towards the Post Office) where more windows will go, and hopefully a bump out to the south of the current seating area on the west side of the building towards W. Nelson Street to put in more seating. All of this will also go alongside a remodel inside of the current building. As of May 4, 2023, an architect has been selected. There is currently no funding for the project. Although a firm timeline for bidding has not been confirmed, construction is estimated to begin second quarter 2024, at the earliest.
