Description

This project proposes to restore the pavement riding surface on the Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495) from the Nassau/Suffolk Line to Motor Parkway (Exit 55) in the Towns of Huntington, Smithtown and Islip in Suffolk County to a smooth and distress free condition by milling and resurfacing the existing pavement. All proposed pavement work is expected to increase safety and provide a smooth riding surface for vehicular travel for the next 10 to 12 years.
