Description The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) is seeking sources that possess the availability and capability to build and install a USTRANSCOM display at the Pentagon. See Attachment 1 for draft display design and detailed specifications. The intent is to develop, manufacture and install a USTRANSCOM graphic display within an interior corridor of the Pentagon building. The display shall utilize pictures, captions, and organizational symbols to depict the command's Unified Command Plan responsibilities, its assigned subordinate commands, and the command's associated capabilities. The display shall consist of three panels connected end-to-end and enclosed in a frame of brushed aluminum material. The overall dimensions of the display shall be 17 feet long by 5 feet high, made up of two smaller panels (4 feet long by 5 feet high) attached on either side of a central panel (9 feet long by 5 feet high). Once assembled in the Pentagon, the display shall be mounted to the interior wall utilizing toggle bolts, and be easily transferable to an alternate location within the building if required at a later date. A general concept for display construction includes pictures, captions, and symbols created in full color Duraflex applied to non-glare Plexiglas and mounted to Medium Density Overlay (MDO) board. Corner bolts shall be utilized to provide stand-off for various pictures, symbols, etc. As assembled and installed, the display shall not protrude more than 4 inches from the wall and shall not obstruct electrical outlets, fire sprinkler system, etc., per building regulations. The display shall be of modular design/construction allowing for ease of updating photos and captions when required.
