RFP - Transportation Department As-Needed Engineering Support

Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% Pre-Bid Meeting No Online Q&A No Project Duration Sixty (60) Month The City of San Diego (City) Transportation Department consists of three interconnected divisions: Transportation Engineering, Right of Way Management and Street Division. The Design Professional chosen from this solicitation will be used by the entire Transportation Engineering Operations Division, Street Division and Right of Way Management Division. Design Professional shall provide an array of engineering and related services to support the Transportation Department on a per task order basis. At a minimum, the Design Professional must be able to perform services in the anticipated general areas delineated in the scope services below. These areas are not exclusive or exhaustive, and additional areas may be identified in the future. The scope is for as-needed engineering services to support the City of San Diego's Transportation Department with various engineering (design & non-design), as well as operations and maintenance programs and projects. Separate task orders developed for as-needed support shall describe a specific scope, schedule, and compensation necessary to complete a given task issued by Transportation Department staff. Before services begin on any specific task, the contract manager shall sign and authorize the services to be done. The typical tasks listed below envision elements of the services that shall be performed by the Design Professional; however, not all tasks outlined shall necessarily be authorized during the performance of this contract and/or for each separate task. Transportation Department reserves the right to modify or substitute as-needed tasks to meet the goals of the City's Transportation Department. The City shall apply a maximum of an additional 12 points for Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) or Emerging Local Business Enterprise (ELBE) participation, to the proposer's subtotal maximum evaluation points. Additional points will be awarded as follows to achieve the proposer's final maximum evaluation points: a. If the proposer achieves 20% participation, apply 5 points to the proposer's score; or b. If the proposer achieves 25% participation, apply 10 points to the proposer's score; or c. If the prime consultant is a SLBE or an ELBE, apply 12 points to the proposer's score. The final maximum evaluation points including SLBE/ELBE is 112. The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
