Description | Frankfort School Portico Renovation - Window Refurbishment Phase 1 The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Phase 1 includes repair and refurbishment of windows and door and located on the southeast facade as indicated on the drawings. The three remaining facades are not included in the scope of this phase. Window and door refurbishment includes both exterior and interior sides. Project is an historic preservation project, and all work shall be conducted in accordance with the NPS (National Park Services) and the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. Referenced standards applicable to this project are included in the Specifications. This project has been financed in part with federal funds from the National Park Service, a division of the United States Department of the Interior and administered by the Kansas Historical Society. The contents and opinions, however, do not necessarily reflect the view or policies of the United States Department of the Interior or the Kansas Historical Society. Regulations of the U.S. Department of the Interior strictly prohibit unlawful discrimination in departmental Federally Assisted Programs on the basis of race, color, national origin, age or handicap. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 100 calendar days. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. |
