Description | Per the owner, as of March 27, 2023, the design for this project is being done by city staff. The owner states that this project has not yet gone out for construction bids. Project is anticipated to advertise for bids in April or May of 2023. Owner states that construction is anticipated in the summer of 2023. The City of Battle Ground is seeking services of a traffic engineering consultant for the Captain Strong & Chief Umtuch School Zone Upgrades project. The consultant will conduct a traffic study and recommend appropriate safety upgrades. City staff will use results of the traffic study and recommendations to design safety upgrades. It is anticipated that the design and construction will be completed in 2022. The City of Battle Ground encourages disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned consultant firms to respond. Consultants will be held to federal EEO requirements for any project containing federal funds. Consultants will also be held to the ADA and Civil Rights requirements for the City of Battle Ground. The City of Battle Ground, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Scope Of Work At a minimum, the selected firm shall perform or be able to subcontract the following: 1. Conduct traffic study and observations 2. Outreach to stakeholders including the School District 3. Provide recommendations for appropriate safety upgrades 4. Cost estimate of improvements 5.
