Description | Contract No: 2023-TON-1011 The Work generally consists of building and equipment improvements of the pump station which includes: replacing the entire pump control panel and all associated electrical equipment; replacing the entire level control panel and pressure transducer level indicators in the wet well; providing temporary pump motor control and pressure transducer during the station upgrades; upgrading the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to include new remote telemetry unit, as well as facility security; replacing an interior emergency diesel generator, fuel tank, exhaust piping, and other appurtenances; selective building and equipment demolition; installing concrete equipment pads; replacing and upgrading HVAC equipment (e.g. louvers, unit heaters, exhaust fans, etc.) to provide better climate control and shutdown upon signal form Fire Alarm System; replacing pump system plug valves in the dry well; installing buried plug valve on the force main in the front yard and associated temporary line stopping; testing the existing grounding ring and replacing faulty segments (as necessary); installing landscaping and/or hardscaping as required to bring the site back to pre-construction conditions. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27 D, as amended, apply to the project 540 calendar days for substantial completion 570 calendar days for final completion Each General Bid and Filed Sub-Bid shall be accompanied by the Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Bidders maximum Bid Price The successful General Bidder and each selected Filed Sub-Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 5 days (excluding Saturday, Sunday, and holidays) following notification of the Bid acceptance. Liquidated damages will be in the amounts shown below for each calendar day of delay beyond the dates established below: Substantial completion (540 calendar days) $1,000.00 per day Final completion (570 calendar days) $1,000.00 per day. Each Bidder must show evidence that it is licensed under Chapter 149 of the MGL. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to Award the Contract which in its judgement is in the best interest of the Owner.
