Description | The intent of this bid is to establish an asbestos abatement and demolition contract for the asbestos abatement and demolition of 8 residential structures. 1. 814 E Avenue B - Demolition of 1 accessory structure only, concrete flatwork, and chain link fencing (Attachment #1A) 2. 818 E Avenue B - Demolition and asbestos abatement of residential structure, 2 accessory structures, concrete flatwork, and chain link fencing (Attachment #1B); 3. 810 W Avenue F - Demolition of residential structure, concrete flatwork, wood fencing, and dead tree (Attachment #1C); 4. 715 S 15th Street - Demolition of residential structure and accessory structure, concrete flatwork, wood fencing, clothes line poles, and large tree (Attachment #1D); 5. 1210 S 5th Street - Demolition of a garage apartment and accessory structure (Attachment #1E); 6. 901 S 16th Street - Demolition and asbestos abatement of residential structure and concrete flatwork (Attachment #1F); 7. 515 S 18th Street - Demolition and asbestos abatement of residential structure, demolition of accessory structure, concrete flatwork, and chain link fencing (Attachment #1G); and 8. 1102 S 24th Street - Demolition of partially burned residential structure including dog house, chain link kennel, wood fencing, and concrete flatwork (Attachment #1H). As reflected in the attached Building Inspection Reports for Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACBM), the following residential structures have ACBM that must be abated prior to demolition: 1. 818 E Avenue B contains approximately 3,972 square feet of ACBM in the drywall texture, ceilings and walls throughout the entire structure (Attachment #2A). 2. 901 S 16th Street contains approximately 220 square feet of ACBM in the linoleum floor tile located in the kitchen and restroom (Attachment #2B). 3. 515 S 18th Street contains approximately 1,972 square feet of ACBM in the drywall texture and ceilings throughout the entire structure and approximately 1,210 square feet of asbestos-containing cement siding on the exterior of the structure (Attachment #2C). |
