This was a requirement of SPS and Surgery Chiefs for the MVAH. Miami VAMC will provide the following equipment: (3) Ultrasonic Cleaner Prep and Pack tables One (1) Low temperature sterilizer What are the dimensions and electrical and plumbing requirements of the VAMC supplied equipment? There are no dimensions. The SPS trailers will be provided with an points of connections that feeds the trailers utilities (electrical, water, plumbing and IT) 4.1.1.6 Vendor shall provide: Utility connections for all SPS equipment supplied by Miami VAMC. Corridor Trailer module and installation shall include an access ramp, emergency exit stairs in accordance to the client preference. What is the client s preference? MVAH preference is to access SPS trailers from existing covered area used now as Escort Services . Is the corridor enclosed and conditioned or is it a covered walkway? HV AC and covered. What is the length of the corridor envisioned to be (from the MVAMC facility to the SPS Trailer)? Corridor is part of the existing MVAMC used now as Escort Services art ground floor level. It is assumed that the access ramp will provide personnel and cart access to the SPS trailer from the site ground level? Yes. Vendor shall deliver the modular unit to the trailer site no more than (6) six months after the contract is effective. Is the modular unit the same as the SPS trailer? 4.1.1.7 Trailer(s) shall cover a total of 2,200 square feet or 73 x 30 ft of trailer space. It is assumed that the 73 x 30 ft. (2,200 sq. ft.) area is the total site area adjacent to the Miami VAMC that will be available or the SPS Trailer inclusive of cart washing. Additional square footage is available if required. Is a CAD layout drawing of the facility with the desired SPS Trailer s location available? No Cadd files available. Estimated trailer(s) lease period shall be for at least 1 (one) year, plus two six-month options should they be necessary Trailer(s) shall be delivered at the Miami VA Hospital at 1201 NW 16th St. Miami, FL 33125 4.2 General Trailer Layout. The SPS modular unit shall consist of several separate partitions: Decontamination Ante Room Area Relative Negative Pressure equipped with proper security. Is it acceptable to place the Decontamination Ante Room Area in the connection corridor to facility to allow room on the SPS Trailer for the VMAC Supplied sterile processing equipment? Any deviations from approved /SPS trailers layout will require to comply with all VA SPS design Guidelines and be reviewed and approved by CFM engineers. Decontamination Work Area Relative Negative Pressure equipped with proper security. Sterile Ante Room - Relative negative pressurization. . Is it acceptable to place the Sterile Ante Room Area in the connection to facility to allow room on the SPS Trailer for the VMAC Supplied sterile processing equipment? Any deviations from approved /SPS trailers layout will require to comply with all VA SPS design Guidelines and be reviewed and approved by CFM engineers. Sterile Steam Sterilization Area - Relative positive pressure. Cart Wash area Clean Work room Instrument Set assembly - Relative Positive pressurization. Mechanical Room - Relative Positive Pressure Clean Ante Room - Relative Negative Pressure Connection and Storage Trailer - Relative Neutral Pressure. 4.2 Sterilization Trailer Equipment furnished shall include: 2 Adjustable 3 Bay sink Clean work room/ Set Assembly with Dedicated Ante Room Can the sterile anteroom be used to access the clean work room and steam sterilization room as long as it adheres to AAMI and VA SPD guidelines? Any deviations from approved /SPS trailers layout will require to comply with all VA SPS design Guidelines and be reviewed and approved by CFM engineers. Sterilizer Equipment room Steam Sterilization room with dedicated ante room. This four-room configuration avoids interior doors between rooms preventing the accidental mixing of clean nonsterile instruments with sterile instruments. Electrical Connections for utility power and/or auxiliary generators shall be provided with connection cables. Electrical requirements of 480 volts, 3 phase, 400 amps. Is this the maximum power available at the site? While 400 amps is adequate for the SPS Trailer, the inclusion of an automatic OEM Cart Washer and VAMC supplied equipment will require additional power. Additional power capacity at 480 volt 3 phase is available if required. 4.4.3. Plumbing The plumbing system shall include: Copper Plumbing to Non-DI W, CPVC Plumbing to DI Water and RO & DI Water filtration system. Is Utility Hot water available at the site? It is required for the Cart Washer and other integrated equipment on the SPS Trailer. MMIC has an option that provides utility hot water at the site if needed. This would require an additional 150 amps of 480V, 3 phase power at the site. The Site have no hot water connection for trailers; needs to be part of the proposal. Additional electrical capacity is available.
