Solar PV/Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Developers

Approximately 6MW,Ground mounted, fixed mount or single axis tracking, solar PV installation coupled with a 3MW Battery Energy Storage System on Morgan Property site at 1900 East Summit Street. The appropriate size of the hybrid system is to be determined by the respondent and will be configured for grid and PV charging, co-located with the solar PV facilities. The vegetated, relatively flat site is about 33 acres total with a small body of water at about 3.7 acres. Underground feeders would route north under East Summit Street, under City of Kent utilities and under a high-pressure Dominion East Ohio Gas line on the north side of the street that primarily serves the Kent State CHP Plant gas turbine generators, then west. The connection point to the Kent State 13.2 kV distributed electric system would be at the existing WKSU building switch near the corner of East Summit Street and Loop Road. Preferred maximum 20-year total PPA Contract, but will consider longer contracts to maximize savings over grid supplied electric power.
