Buckwalter Multi-County Commerce Park - 00098 - Town of Bluffton

Planning, design, and construction of infrastructure improvements at Buckwalter Place Commerce Park to enhance economic development opportunities on Town owned land. Bluffton Town Council, Beaufort County Council, and Jasper County Council previously joined together to designate this site as a Multi-County Industrial Park (MCIP). Public improvements include infrastructure such as drainage, roads, and parking as w ell as the construction of a public park, dedicated office space for the Don Ryan Center for Innovation and other major retail and office tenants. Future improvements include an expansion of the Law Enforcement Center parking/service yard, wayfinding signage, and infrastructure needed to support a shovel-ready site for future business park development. As of March 17, 2023, this project is currently in the Town of Bluffton FY 2022-2026 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2022. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2022. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
