Description

The active vehicle barrier systems shall include the following items: Certified to stop 15,000 lbs vehicle impact at 50 mph per ASTM F2656-07 M50 P2 from either direction (inbound or outbound). Energy absorption system to decelerate vehicle and allow barrier net to "give" upon impact (softer stop technology). Energy absorption system automatically and immediately reset after use. System is reusable. 2 second deployment and automated retraction. UPS back-up power. 10+ cycle without interruption. Lights, signal, control panels remain backed up during outage. Barrier net shall be able to cycle at least 15 times in an hour. System will include trigger sensors. Barrier is to be fabricated from a material that will provide long term performance from exposure to exterior elements. The cable net is to deploy from below the surface with a lid that prevents debris from entering the trap. Lid must ensure smooth driving across retracted barrier Certified span length up to 80 feet. Arrests low speed and high speed vehicle impacts.
