Description | The services that are requested will be as follows and will encompass all ofthe Housing Authority's properties: 1) Removal of existing carpet/tile, glue, padding, cove base or related carpet fasteners from the unit. (Leave extra cove base with maintenance staff) 2) Preparation and patching of existing flooring in order to install new carpeting and or tile. Vacuum floor prior to installation of new carpet/tile. 3) Installation ofnew carpet/tile/sheet flooing (color and texture to be selected by management): 4) Carpet/tile/sheet flooring must be approvable for installation in an elderly high-rise project by all relevant code reviewing entities. The Manufacturer shall have a minimum of 3 years production experience, whose published literature clearly indicates general compliance with all required codes. 5) Installation must comply with the manufacturer's recommendations for seam locations and direction of carpet/tile/sheet flooring. 6) Install carpet/tile/sheet flooring edge guards where edge of carpet/tile is exposed; anchor guards to substrate. Only use metal carpet edge, no plastic. 7) Removal ofall debris associated with the old carpet/tile removal and new carpet/tile installation. Vacuum Carpet/tile ater installation ofnew carpet/tile. Debris shall be removed from the building by the contractor and disposed of off-site (not on Housing Authority property). 8) Must be able to complete total installation within 7 days of receiving notification from management (failure to comply with this requirement will result in termination of the contract). The work must be completed between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (no weekends) |
