A/E Services for Demolish and Construct Building

The Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site is a 95-builidng facility that was established as a state historic site in 1919. The Trent Barn is one of these structures. The barn and adjacent livestock pen's materials are significantly compromised. Due to the building's wood rot and overall deterioration, the facility is not structurally sound for site interpretation. The scope of work provides for the demolition of the Trent Barn and adjacent livestock pens and providing a new barn and livestock pen to match the original Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) era blueprints. Provide cedar wood logs at the bottom two courses to prevent future rot and deterioration. The consultant shall also provide a historic structures report for designated log structures. All work associated with this project shall comply with the Secretary of Interior's Standards of Historic Structures. The State Historic Preservation Office should be consulted during every phase of this project.
