Description | Interior renovations at media center spaces and support spaces at two separate school buildings in two separate townships for the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District. Work consists of demolition of architectural finishes/furnishings and partition walls composed of various materials, construction of masonry and metal stud framed partition walls, installation of floor finishes, painting, and acoustical ceiling system modifications and installations, and library equipment and casework. There is underslab sanitary plumbing work, and above slab domestic and sanitary plumbing work. Mechanical work consists of minor modifications, diffuser/register replacement, and air balancing. There is underslab electrical work, and various new wiring devices with new wiring and low voltage cabling. New lighting fixtures are proposed as well. Book storage and relocation will be performed by the Owner. Project Start: 8/08/2022 Substantial Completion: 12/30/2022 Final Completion: 1/30/2023 Single Overall Contract (C008 or C009 with C030, C032, C047) All attendees must be mindful of any public health emergency policies and protocols pursuant to the School District. Contractors assume all risks associated with their presence on District premise. Construction workers shall follow recommended precautions to protect themselves and other workers, staff, students, etc. at the project site(s). All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by end of business June 6, 2022, and sent by faxing to 609-883-2694 or by emailing cwoodward@fvhdpc.com, or via common carrier to the Architect. All correspondence must include the Architect Project Name and Project Number referenced. The Architect is not responsible for misdirected or misrouted correspondence. All requests for information must be faxed to 609.883.2694 or mailed to the attention Stephen Schreyer. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Owner for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00; and must be delivered to the above place on or before the hour named. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, each proposal shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a Surety Company stating it will provide each bidder with separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. If the bid exceeds $20,000.00, bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC), prior to date bids are received. |
