renovations and additions to the Columbia Montour Area VTS, 5050 Sweppenheiser Drive, Bloomsburg, PA 17815 , Separate, sealed Bids will be received for the following Prime Contracts: BP 1.06 - Miscellaneous Metals / Structural Steel, BP 1.10 - Metal Panels, BP 1.11 - Aluminum, Glass & Glazing, BP 1.12 - Metal Studs / Drywall / Acoustical Ceiling Tiles, BP 1.14 - Painting, and BP 1.15 - Moving Services / FF&E Bidding questions shall be directed to Alexander Building Construction Co., Attention: Tina Petrie, email: tina.petrie@butz.com. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount and all alternate bid amounts in the form of a Bid Bond as described in the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders. A Performance and Payment Bond provided in the Project Manual, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract, and each with satisfactory corporate surety, must be furnished by the successful Bidder prior to execution of the contract Bids may not be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled by the Bidder for sixty (60) calendar days following the actual date of opening thereof, except as provided by the Commonwealth Procurement Code. However, if award of Contract is delayed by the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants, Bids ma be withdrawn by the Bidder for a period of not to exceed 120 days from the date of bid opening in accordance with Pennsylvania law Columbia Montour Area Vocation Technology School reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities in any Bid. Further, Columbia Montour Area Vocation Technical School reserves the right to award any combination of Alternates, or no Alternates, which in its sole discretion, serves the best interests of the School District. This project is funded by the following school districts: Berwick Area, Bloomsburg Area, Central Columbia, Danville Area, Millville Area, and Southern Columbia and is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates. Foundations include traditional concrete footings with both masonry and concrete foundation walls. There will be asbestos abatement, roofing repair and exterior metal panel systems. There are also sidewalks, road pavement repair, and repairs and upgrades to HVAC and Plumbing systems.
