Description | Balfour Beatty/Holt Brothers-Dorothea Dix Park Gateway, JV, is accepting prequalification documentation from trade contractors for the Dorothea Dix Park Gipson Play Plaza for Bid Packages: 1A-Fencing (Temporary), 1B-Final Cleaning, 1C-General Trades, 2F-Fencing (Permanent), 3A-Building Concrete, 4AMasonry, 5A-Structural&Misc Steel, 7A-Roofing, 7B-Waterproofing & Caulking, 8ADoors/Frames/Hardware, 9B-Hard Tile, 9G-Painting, 10A-Toilet Accessories/Specialties, 10B-Signage, 13A-Water Features, 15A-Plumbing, 15C-Mechanical, 16B-Communications, 26A-Electrical, 31A-Site Demo/Earthwork/Stormwater, 31B-Site Utilities, 31C-Site Combo, 32A-Asphalt Paving/Curb & Gutter, 32B-Landscaping, Irrigation & Structural Turf, 32C-Hardscapes-Site Pavers and Sidewalks, 32DPlayground Equipment, 32E-Stone Boulders, 32F-Site Furnishings, 33A-House of Many Porches. Prequalification outreach as well as an HUB Outreach event will be held on June 9, 2022, from 3:00 PM5:00 PM at the at the Greg Poole, Jr. All Faiths Chapel 1030 Richardson Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603. The project is located in Raleigh, North Carolina within Dorothea Dix Park. The project site is bounded by Biggs Drive to the North and Lake Wheeler Road to the South. The project consists of site protections, site improvements, and temporary improvements which include but are not limited to added parking, water features, restrooms, site electrical, playground equipment, play areas, green spaces, and office space in existing historic house. The CMAR and City of Raleigh enthusiastically encourage participation by certified HUB/MBE/DBE firms and support efforts to ensure and promote opportunities for minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE). The MWBE Program advocates actions, which increase opportunities for historically underutilized businesses and promote diversity and inclusion in City of Raleigh contracting. The City has an aspirational goal of 15% of the total contract amount to be performed by MWBE businesses on construction and repair projects of $300,000 or more, and contracts of $100,000 or more that include any State funding. All bids shall satisfy requirements of NCGS 143-128.2. Information regarding the City of Raleigh's MWBE program can be found Bid packages for this project will be advertised on the IPS system. However, only those bidders that have been prequalified shall be eligible to bid. Any bid submitted by a bidder that was not prequalified shall be rejected as being nonresponsive.
