No Questions from bidders will be answered pass 08/19/2022, 1:00 PM. PURPOSE: The purpose and intent of this Invitation For Bids (IFB) is to solicit sealed bids from qualified sources who would be able to provide Doors Installation, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance throughout ESH facility on as-needed basis. This would cover two thousand (2000) doors at the ESH facility. SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATION: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, labor, tools, and equipment necessary for services as specified in this solicitation for Doors Installation, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance throughout ESH facility on as-needed basis. The contractor shall: 1. Be licensed and insured to support the needs of the hospital. The Contractor will be responsible for providing the appropriate types and skill levels of personnel required to accomplish the work and for providing adequate supervision of them at the work site to assure that the work is accomplished in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and codes, including Virginia OSHA requirements and the latest version of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code in effect on the date of the work order. All work performed under this contract shall be done in a manner that will not adversely affect the integrity of the building's structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and life safety systems or any other building features that will overload or render useless any portion of the facility. 2. Be able to provide doors and frames as found in-use and existing at the hospital. 3. Provide material, labor, and equipment for "turnkey" projects to replace and install doors and frames as requested to maintain the safety and integrity of the hospital. All tools required to perform the required work shall be provided by the Contractor. If the job requested by ESH requires the Contractor to rent special equipment, ESH will pay at the invoiced cost for the rental (no mark-up). The Contractor shall state the requirement for renting special equipment as part of the estimate. Costs for parts, material, and supplies will be reimbursed based upon the Contractor's actual invoiced cost with no markup. Equipment rental will be reimbursed based on Contractor's actual invoice with no markup allowed 4. Be a certified field representative for all doors or provide subcontractors as needed to complete door repairs. As long as the prime contractor is a certified field representative, the subcontractors may be exempt from this requirement. 5. Be able to complete emergency carpentry and structural repairs as needed. 6. Be a certified ACROVYN style door/ product representative. 7. Provide one-time or annual inspection of all ESH doors as instructed by the Buildings & Grounds office of the hospital. |
