Description

This project, located in Talbot County, is for the renovation of the former lab building and construction of a new maintenance building for the State Highway Administration's District 2 Shops at 8265 Ocean Gateway in Easton, Maryland 21601. The work will consist of the following: (a) Interior demolition and partial roof demolition of the former laboratory building with new roofing; complete new interior partitions and finishes; toilet and locker rooms; parts storage rooms; new mechanical system (HVAC); new plumbing system; new electrical system, power and lighting; new communications system; new security enhancements. (b) Construction of a new maintenance shop to include vehicle servicing equipment; overhead craneways; common work areas; equipment and storage mezzanines; associated mechanical, plumbing and electrical. Building envelope consists of concrete block water table and metal siding walls; overhead doors; translucent fiberglass sandwich panels; standing seam metal roof. (c) Site work consisting of stormwater management provisions; erosion and sedimentation control; landscaping; concrete curbs, sidewalks and equipment pads; asphalt paving. Project Cost Class G - $10,000,000 to $15,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. MBE Participation (%) 15.0 Non-disclosure agreements: Certain bid documents require completion of a non-disclosure agreements by the contractor. Instructions on how to complete this requirement are included in the Invitation for Bids. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
