2023 Pavement Reconstruction - SID 568 Majestic Pointe

The project is briefly described as follows: Unit Base Bids: The work to be performed in this improvement shall consist of removing all failed pavement panels, installing sidewalk in outs F an H, and modifying the roundabout on Kilpatrick Parkway to include curb ramp crossings, along with any other items of work incidental and necessary for a completed project. Envelopes containing the bids shall be sealed and must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond in the amount not less than 5% of Bidder's maximum bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates). The check(s) or bond(s) shall be made payable to S.I.D. 568 of Sarpy County, Nebraska, as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made will enter into contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance. The envelopes containing bids shall be marked as follows: Please make sure bidder's name and address are on said envelope. The Engineer's address is 2111 South 67 th Street, Suite 200, Omaha, NE 68106. The successful bidder shall supply a PW-55 Bond, executed by a corporate surety licensed in the State of Nebraska in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price as part of his contract. The Sanitary and Improvement District No. 568 of Douglas County, NE (Majestic Pointe) reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities in bids submitted. The number of days within which, or the dates by which, the Work is to be substantially completed and ready for final payment are set forth in the Agreement. A. 2023 Pavement Reconstruction - All work shall be completed within 60 days of the start of construction. The Contractor shall begin onsite work between July 2023 and September 2023 and shall notify the Engineer in writing a minimum of 10 calendar days in advance of the date on which the Contractor intends to begin work. The Contractor shall diligently pursue the work to completion within the time specified in the contract. Voluntary shutdown or slowing of operations by the Contractor shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility to complete the work within the time specified in the contract
