Description | The purpose of this Scope of Work is to address the Lightning Protection, bonding, installation/replacement of heavy duty disconnects, TVSS's, and DEMARC boxes at the DTW RVR Sensor Interface Electronic Units (SIE) sites located on the airfield. Work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Contractor must use existing Earth Electrode System (EES) around the perimeter of the SIE racks to install lightning protection. All grounding and bonding must be in accordance with FAA-STD-19F. Lightning protection materials and hardware must meet NFPA 780 specifications and be UL96 listed. This includes air terminals, connectors, splices, exothermic welds, and pipe clamps. See 'Reference Drawing'. All work must comply with NFPA 70. 2. Contractor must extend racks and add disconnects to racks where necessary. Please see SIE site pictures shown in the body of this document for further details. Any damaged frangible couplings must be replaced. Site 5 rack must be moved adjacent to existing rack. Install helical piers to facilitate new rack. Piers must be driven a minimum of 8 feet deep. All utilities must be located around the Site 5 rack before pier drilling takes place. 3. Contractor must shorten, extend, or remove any wire-way and conduit in order to install new equipment and/or conductors. Label all wires, labels must be shrink embossed. 4. Damage to existing facilities and equipment caused by the Contractor must be reported to the COR and/or SSC designee immediately. The Contractor is responsible for repairing, or having repaired all damage of the building or equipment at their expense. All repairs must be accomplished to the satisfaction of the COR of SSC designee. 5. Contractor must not shut off power for any circuit. * ALL POWER INTERUPTIONS TO THE FACILITY MUST BE PERFORMED BY THE FAA AND NOT THE CONTRACTOR. * 6. Government FurnisheD Equipment (GFE) - Rayvoss TVSS will be furnished and provided for Contractor installation. 7. All rack modifications/extensions must be as uniform as possible. See GLSD-RVR-E002 as a reference and photos 1 and 2. **New Items to reside on DEMARC side of rack as much as is possible.** | ||
