Sludge Handling Process Improvement - SW003 - City of Newburyport

Project will consist of modifications and improvements to sludge thickening process at the WPCF. Sludge thickening and separation of waste activated sludge and primary sludge was not address in the two phase facility upgrade in 2011 - 2012. The current scheme utilizes co-thickening (a very dated concept) which adversely affects the treatment process, causing plant upsets and effluent quality degradation. Year 2: Design and production of plans and specifications Year 3: procurement, construction & commission This project is in included in the City of Newburyport FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of august 24, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
