Landscape Installation and Establishment in Allegany and Washington Counties (District 6)

Letting ID: 230105 Contract ID: AL3455180, AZ0795124R This project is for the Installation and Establishment of Trees, Shrubs, and Perennials in Allegany and Washington Counties (District 6). Landscape Installation and Establishment Plan Sheet Exhibits for each site in pdf format are included in the advertisement of this Contract. The Installation and Establishment of Trees, Shrubs, and Perennials at these project sites will be as directed by the Engineer. Anticipated Landscape Installation Target Dates provided in the table above are an estimate only and dependent upon the substantial completion of the roadway improvement projects. Site specific installation assignments will be coordinated between the Engineer and Contractor and shall only begin after the Engineer has directed with written approval. This work will also include miscellaneous landscape vegetation management crew day work and turfgrass, turfgrass sod, and meadow establishment associated with site preparation and same day stabilization as directed by the Engineer. All landscape sites are within MDOT State Highway Administration's rights-of-way, in Easements held by MDOT SHA, or located on other property under agreement within the roadway contract. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable.
