Description

Pinanski Hall 301 Radiation Chemistry Lab. Renovation to build out a new lab for Physics Radio-logical-Chemistry Lab. Includes new hoods, lab benches, and sinks in space. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate The University of Massachusetts - Lowell, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Pinanski Hall 301 RadioChemistry Lab REBID for the University of Massachusetts - Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by MDS. The Project consists of: Renovation of approx. 1,800 sf on the 3rd floor of Pinanski Hall for a new Radiochemistry lab and renovate an existing office. A new MDF closet is added on the 2nd floor. Architectural work includes, but not limited to - providing new ceilings, new rooms, new finishes, related roof work to support new mechanical systems. New mechanical systems and electrical systems will be installed to support the new lab. Limited Fire protection on the 3rd floor. The work is estimated to cost $2,200,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. Plan deposits may be electronically paid or by check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority Additional sets may be purchased for $ 75.00.
