Description

As of May 10, 2022, an engineer has been selected for the project. Bidding is estimated to take place in June and construction is estimated to start in August. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Town of Star Valley has been awarded [or submitted an application for a federal Community Development Block Grant through the State of Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the purpose of Connection of Purchased Well to Town Water System. Accordingly, the Town is seeking to contract with a qualified project engineer, duly registered in the State of Arizona by the Arizona Board of Technical Registration, to provide the necessary engineering design to: The Town of Star Valley intends to use the FY21 CDBG funds to replace aging and undersized mainline water pipe in the Milky Way Subdivision area of Star Valley, Arizona. The project will replace pipe along parts of Venus Drive and Milky Way and will lay 8" C900 pipe throughout this project area to remove aged and undersized lines. The Town will use a competitively procured engineer and construction company to replace the pipeline in the Low/Mod income service area of the Town of Star Valley. Based on an Income Survey, the service area is qualified as defined by the Town's Grant Administrator. The pipeline replacement will ensure reliable service of potable water and adequate fire suppression to the subdivision. The successful respondent will be responsible for performing all project related necessary engineering services to develop all preliminary and final construction plans and specifications and bid documents, including but not limited to, engineering, surveying, documentation of existing conditions, permits, etc. Additionally, the engineer will provide interim and final inspections in order to ensure construction according to specifications. The Town of Star Valley also reserves the right to hold any or all submittals for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of opening. Respondents will not be allowed to withdraw submissions during the thirty (30) day period. All respondents will be notified of the results within thirty (30) days after the close of the RFQ period The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
