Description

Beaufort Jasper Water and Sewer Authority (BJWSA) owns and operates the Purrysburg WTP (PWTP), currently rated for 15 MGD, that supplies potable water to southern Beaufort and Jasper Counties. The PWTP was constructed in 2004 and designed to accommodate 2 additional 15 MGD expansions. Due to the continued rapid growth in the service area, PWTP is in need of the 1st planned 15 MGD expansion. Therefore, BJWSA is seeking qualified contractors interested in the design-bid-build expansion project which consists of the following: modifications to the river, reservoir, transfer, and high service pump stations; chemical feed facility improvements; weir flow splitting facility; PAC contactor; static rapid mix equipment; flocculation and sedimentation basins; dual media filters; plant support facilities; miscellaneous valves and piping; instrumentation and controls; electrical work; and civil/site work to include clearing and grubbing. Performing all of the Purrysburg WTP Expansion to 30 MGD - Phase II work including, but not limited to, River Pump Station Upgrades, Reservoir Pump Station Upgrades, Transfer Pump Station Upgrades, High Service Pump Station Upgrades, PAC Contactor Construction, PAC Silo Construction, Flocculation Construction, Sedimentation Basin Construction, Filtration Construction, Administration Modifications, and Chemical Feed Modification Sodium Hypochlorite Area Polyurethane Leak Stop Injection instrumentation and SCADA integration associated with Phase II Clearing and grubbing, civil/site work, etc. Installation of new pumps in River, Reservoir, Transfer, and High-Pressure Pump Stations. Upgrading Chemical Feed Facility (addition of tanks, pumps, sodium hypochlorite onsite generation equipment, and PAC Storage & Feed silo) Construction of weir flow splitting facility Construction of PAC contactor Installation of Static Rapid mix equipment Construction of new Flocculation and Sedimentation Basin Construction of 5 new Dual Media Filters Construction of additional Plant Support Facilities Miscellaneous valves and piping. Instrumentation and Controls Electrical work and controls.
