Description | The MPEA has organized the services by the following groups: Group 1: Ammonia Refrigeration Group 2: Air Handling Units Group 3: Air Compressors Group 4: Carrier Chillers Group 5: Trane Chillers Group 6: Evapco Cooling Towers Group 7: Indeck Water Tube Boilers Group 8: Cleaver Brooks Fire Tube Boilers Group 9: Flow and Energy Meters Group 10: Insulation Repair and Replacement Group 11: Pumps Group 12: York Chillers Detailed scope and required experience and qualifications are described by Group below. Proposers may submit qualifications and proposals for one or more groups and must clearly indicate which Group(s) the response is for and must specifically provide the required qualifications, certifications, experience, MBE/WBE compliance plan and any other requested information by Group in order for the MPEA to evaluate the Proposer's qualifications. Contractors must comply with the Authority's Project Labor Agreement and pay prevailing wages. A copy of the PLA is posted on the MPEA website. it becomes necessary to revise or amend any part of this RFP, including the due dates, the Authority will publish a revision by written addendum on its website and notify all prospective Proposers who have registered as a document holder and provided the Authority with valid contact information. The responsibility for submitting a response to this RFP on or before the stated time and date will be solely and strictly that of the Proposer. Proposals received after 12:00 PM Central Time, on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, may be deemed non-responsive and ineligible for consideration. By submitting a Proposal, Proposer agrees to accept and abide by the terms of this RFP. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to waive any informality or irregularity, and to accept any responsive submittals which it may deem to be in the best interest of the Authority. Only submittals from responsible Proposers complying with the provisions of this RFP will be considered. Submittals will be considered incomplete if they do not bear the signature of an agent of the Proposer who is able to HVAC REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES #2022-15-M Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) 34 contractually bind the Proposer. The submittals can be withdrawn at any time, if requested in writing and submitted to mpeaprocurement@mpea.com, until the deadline date at which time it will be considered fina It will be the responsibility of the Proposer to obtain all such addenda and to acknowledge receipt of any addenda that have been issued. (If none are issued, indicate "NONE" on REQUIRED FORM A, Form of Transmittal Letter.) Proposers are to contact only the MPEA Procurement Department at mpeaprocurement@mpea.com concerning this RFP and should not rely on representations, statements, or explanations other than those made in this RFP or in any written addendum to this RFP. In accordance with the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act (70 ILCS 210/23.1(b)), the Authority has adopted and maintains a minority and women owned business enterprise procurement program for any and all work undertaken by the Authority. The Authority's goals for MBE and WBE participation in the performance of the Services are 25% and 5% respectively. The Authority also encourages the participation by Business Enterprises owned by People with Disabilities (BEPD) and accepts the certification issued by the City of Chicago, Cook County, and the State of Illinois The Authority anticipates awarding one contract per group but reserves the right to award more than contract per group. The Authority requires that all Services of the Contractor be performed with that degree of skill, care and diligence normally shown by a contractor performing service of comparable scope, purpose, and magnitude. The Contractor must maintain a staff of competent personnel fully equipped and qualified to perform the Services required by the Agreement. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. |
