Description | All bids over budget, city rejecting all bids Sealed quotations will be opened by the Public Works Director or other staff at 2:00 P.M. on the 30th day of November, 2022, in said Public Works Department. Quotes will be considered by the City of Clinton City Council at its meeting in Council Chambers in City Hall, 611 South Third Street, Clinton, Iowa on the 13th day of December, 2022. The project includes the addition of approximately 1600 square feet of office space, break area and reconfiguration of internal space at the Clinton Public Works building, located 925 South 3rd Street. The work involves all work shown on provided drawings, all work must be performed to code. Electrical outlets and switches are not shown on drawings. All new construction shall have new wiring, receptacles, switches and lighting installed per the National Electrical Code (NEC). Cost includes all labor, materials, and hardware necessary to properly construct addition per supplied drawings. Quote 2 ways. 1. With concrete work. 2. Without concrete work The above work shall be commenced as soon as possible after quotes have been awarded. Completion of all onsite work and final implementation of system shall be on or before June 30, 2023. Liquidated damages shall be per Special Conditions. The City of Clinton will issue a sales tax exemption certificate to the Contractor for all material purchased for incorporation into the project. Tax exemption certificates are applicable only for the specific project for which the tax exemption certificate is issued. The Contractor also must file appropriate Chapter 573 claim / lien waivers before final payment will be released. |
