Description

As of December 06th, 2022, project has not been formally awarded yet. It is expected to be awarded sometime after December 08th. The class(es) of California contractors license(s) required in order to bid on and perform the contract for this Project is: C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractors License. Each Bidder shall also have no less than five (5) years of experience in the magnitude and character of the work bid. All contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted, nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractors and subcontractors current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder, and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Project. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. In bidding on this project, it shall be the Bidders sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in its bid. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashiers check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bond made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Any bond must have been issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bonds are set forth in the Contract Documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The subject property consisted of one middle school. The subject buildings were classrooms, work rooms, offices, gymnasium, relocatable buildings. The exterior were stucco and cinder block. The walkways were mostly metal posts, and stucco ceilings. There were lockers at the end of some buildings, there were benches and tables exterior of some buildings, and fencing around the central gathering area
