Description | The work is generally described as the replacement of the existing sewerline that extends from the Eden Manor residential development at Princess Anne Drive downstream to its intersection with the twelve-inch (12”) gravity sewer line prior to crossing the Conestoga River. Approximately three thousand two hundred (3,200) feet of failing eight-inch (8”) sanitary sewer is to be replaced with ten-inch (10”) sanitary sewer along with accompanying manholes. In conjunction with the sewer replacement, shared-use trails will be constructed as the restoration for a portion of the installed sewer line. Approximately one thousand (1,000) feet of trails will be constructed from the Conestoga Pines Park parking lot to the Waterworks Bridge which crosses the Conestoga River adjacent to the Walnut Street fishing area and Lancaster Waterworks facility. The trails constructed with the sewer project will be made of twelve feet (12’) wide bituminous surface for use by pedestrians and bicyclists. |
