2021 State of Good Repair (SGR) Milling, Overlay, and Striping of Flexible Roadway Surfaces

The work includes but is not limited to milling, edge clipping, saw cutting, hauling and disposal of removed asphalt materials, asphalt patching, asphalt overlay, adjustment of utility fixtures, restoration of shoulders and driveways, pavement markings, loop detectors, installation / replacement of ADA ramps, traffic control, and clean up. Erosion control shall be incidental to all applicable items. No right-of-way acquisition, stormwater management, or utility relocations will be required for this contract. All prospective bidders/respondents are hereby cautioned not to contact any member of the city of virginia beach staff or officials other than the specified contact person. The city of virginia beach reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals in whole or in part and to wave any informalities in the bid/proposal process and reserves the right to enter into any contract deemed to be in the best interest of the city. The specifications in this bid/proposal are intended as a quality indicator and guide for your bidding/response and unless otherwise stated, the city will consider alternate bids/proposals of equal or better quality, which shall be accompanied by descriptive literature. The entire contents of this invitation to bid/request for proposal, any addenda, and bidder's/proposer's response shall be incorporated into any resulting contract.
