Description | UPDATE: https://www.cityofchesapeake.net/Assets/documents/departments/budget/FY+2023/Adopted+CIP+2023-2027/FY+2023-2027+Adopted+CIP.pdf This project will provide for the installation of a water transmission main on Mount Pleasant Road to serve Naval Auxiliary Landing Field-Fentress (NALF-Fentress) and the area residents impacted by groundwater contamination with Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) from Aqueous Film-Forming Foams (AFFF) used in firefighting at NALF-Fentress. This project may require acquisition of real property (fee simple or easement), both permanent to protect the City's utility system, and temporary to facilitate construction. This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
