Description | City of Woodbury will receive bids for the "Stewart Lake Park Playground & Pavilion Plaza" in the City of Woodbury, County of Gloucester, NJ.Please be advised that State Funds through the Green Acres and Recreation Opportunities Bond Act are being utilized in this project. By virtue of Executive Order #34 (1976) vendors currently suspended, debarred or disqualified are excluded from participation on this project. The proposed work shall be completed within 90 calendar days (excluding State holidays) from and including the "Notice to Proceed" date, and includes the following major items: Installation only of a 60-ft. diameter laminated wood shelter Installation only of a 20-ft. diameter laminated wood shelter Installation only of two playground units Construction of 576 s.y. concrete slab, 6" thick Construction of 850 s.y. asphalt slab, 5" thick Installation of various playground site amenities . Each proposal bid must be accompanied by: a Proposal (Bid) Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, of which, the amount of the bond or certified check need not exceed $20,000, made payable to the "City of Woodbury". Bidders, prime and sub-contractors, are required to comply with the following: a. N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action); b. P.L. 1963 c150 (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act); c. Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et seq.); d. P.L. 1977, c. 33, a Disclosure Statement listing Stockholders is required; e. P.L. 1999, c. 238, a Public Works Contractor Registration Act certification is required; f. P.L. 2004, c. 57, a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate is required; g. N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq. (New Jersey Public Contracts Law) All blank spaces in the proposal, except as otherwise noted, must be filled in; and no change shall be made in the phraseology of the proposals or of the item mentioned. All information that may be requested of the Bidder in these specifications shall be included with this proposal. All erasures, interpolations, or other physical changes on the bid form shall be initialed or signed by the Bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish, within ten (10) days after the award, a Surety Corporation Performance Bond or Letter of Credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All applicable surety bonds or LOC required must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) and such surety company must be acceptable to the City Solicitor and authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bids must be prepared on the standard proposal forms provided, in the manner designated therein. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and labeled "Stewart Lake Park Playground & Pavilion Plaza" and shall be addressed to the "Clerk, City of Woodbury". The Owner reserves the right to reject any and or all bids, to waive any informality, or to accept the bid, which in its judgment, best serves the interest of the Owner. The cutoff date for receipt of written inquiries is Tuesday August 22, 2023 at 11:00 am. The scope of work on this project will include the installation of a 60-foot diameter dodecagon pavilion, a 20-foot diameter hexagon shelter, and two playground units. Each have already been purchased by the City of Woodbury and are stored adjacent to the site. The location of the project is the site of an old tennis court area in Stewart Lake Park off of East Red Bank Avenue (CR 644) in the City of Woodbury. The project also includes the removal of the old court surface, installation of underdrains and electrical conduit, installation of helical piles with concrete footings at the columns of the two pavilions, construction of various concrete and asphalt pads and walkways, and the installation of various site amenities including benches, tables and trash/recycle receptacles. Portions of the concrete walkways are to be stamped in a brick paver pattern, the asphalt slab area will be covered with acrylic paint, and other areas will have graphic images painted on the surface. Also, several trees are to be planted in the grass area adjacent to the old courts area. The two pavilions include laminated wood columns and beams, wood roof decking and metal roofing panels. The material for the pavilions are stored adjacent to the project site by the Owner. |
