Design and Engineering services for Town Center Sidewalk and Pedestrian Safety Improvements

Qualified Design/Civil Engineering Firm to Design and Prepare Construction-ready Plans for Sidewalks and Other Pedestrian Safety Measures Within the Woodbridge Town Center. The Scope of Work includes the surveying/design/engineering for the creation of a minimum 5-feet wide, ADA-compliant sidewalk on the west side of Newton Road from the Amity Regional High School crosswalk to Meetinghouse Lane (approximately 450 feet of sidewalk); replacement of the existing asphalt sidewalk on the Library property at Meetinghouse Lane and Newton Road (approximately 400 feet of sidewalk) with a sidewalk closer to the road; and a sidewalk connecting the walkways at the front of Town Hall (approximately 35 feet). On the Library property the sidewalk will be stenciled concrete to match the existing stenciled concrete sidewalk network with decorative lighting. Also included in the scope of work are several add-alternates, including the design and placement of crosswalks and landings at major intersections near Beecher Road School, solar-powered speed awareness signs and a sidewalk (approximately 170 feet) connecting the Fire House (100 Center Road) with the entry to the popular walking track at Fitzgerald Field at the same address. The sidewalk designs must include any necessary drainage improvements.
