Description | 4414 and 4418 Raptor Cir: Office walls and ceiling shall be constructed utilizing ICD/ICS 705, Wall Type C. Furthermore, walls and ceilings shall utilize at least 1-layer of 5/8” gypsum board with R-foil backing as described in this detail. The existing window shall be replaced with a ballistic type glass meeting or exceeding physical properties of the existing exterior wall, and shall be capable of being opened from the interior. It shall also be coated or come manufactured with RF/EMR blocking properties or film and rated at STC-45 or better. The entry door and frame assembly will be rated at STC 45 level or better and be substantially constructed of wood or metal per DoDM 5200.01-V3, paragraph 1(b)(3), and equipped with a GSA approved X-10 combination lock. It shall also utilize an approved electronic proximity sensing type entry device integrated with the Intrusion Detection System (IDS). The room shall also be supplemented with an additional split-system HVAC unit. The condensing unit should be placed at or near the existing home HVAC unit, and powered directly off the generator panel. Should the generator panel not have sufficient capacity to carry the additional loads, then the house HVAC unit should be removed and returned to the house panel. Any supply/return ducts entering/leaving the room shall be equipped with sound attenuation on the secure side of the demarcation. Additionally any supply ducts or openings entering or leaving the area exceeding 96-sq. in. shall utilize security bars as noted in DoDM 5200.01-V3, paragraph 1(b)(5). Inspection ports will also be installed in the ducts on the secure side of these openings. Speakers: #20-AWG, 4-conductor wire for internal and external speakers will be ran to six different locations as indicated on the attached drawing and shall originate from the communications closet. An additional 18” of spare wire will be left at each speaker location, and a length NLT the combined height and width of the closet will be left for each run in the closet to allow for connections and terminations. The IDS shall be a Vindicator/Honeywell system and shall have direct reporting capability to the Security Forces alarm desk in building 659. The system shall be equipped with a HSS for the door, a 360° PIR, a duress button either fixed or mobile, and access control utilizing a proximity card and PIN to enter. A CCTV shall be installed directly outside the door and wired to a monitor within the secure room providing full view of the area around the office exterior door. A device box will be located adjacent to the door entry to provide for future phone installation with a direct line to the interior phone. This combined with the CCTV shall provide both visual and audible confirmation of personnel wishing to gain entry. |
