The room shall also be supplemented with an additional split-system HVAC unit. The condensing unit should be placed at or near the existing home HVAC unit, and powered directly off the generator panel. Should the generator panel not have sufficient capacity to carry the additional loads, then the house HVAC unit should be removed and returned to the house panel. Any supply/return ducts entering/leaving the room shall be equipped with sound attenuation on the secure side of the demarcation. Additionally any supply ducts or openings entering or leaving the area exceeding 96-sq. in. shall utilize security bars as noted in DoDM 5200.01-V3, paragraph 1(b)(5). Inspection ports will also be installed in the ducts on the secure side of these openings. Speakers: #20-AWG, 4-conductor wire for internal and external speakers will be ran to six different locations as indicated on the attached drawing and shall originate from the communications closet. An additional 18” of spare wire will be left at each speaker location, and a length NLT the combined height and width of the closet will be left for each run in the closet to allow for connections and terminations. The IDS shall be a Vindicator/Honeywell system and shall have direct reporting capability to the Security Forces alarm desk in building 659. The system shall be equipped with a HSS for the door, a 360° PIR, a duress button either fixed or mobile, and access control utilizing a proximity card and PIN to enter. A CCTV shall be installed directly outside the door and wired to a monitor within the secure room providing full view of the area around the office exterior door. A device box will be located adjacent to the door entry to provide for future phone installation with a direct line to the interior phone. This combined with the CCTV shall provide both visual and audible confirmation of personnel wishing to gain entry.
