Mowing Services for Environmental Discharge Fields

A. Mowing: Contractor shall mow the designated grass areas every four weeks to once a month, as weather permits, to maintain an appropriate even height for the type of grass and season to ensure a well-manicured and healthy appearance. Mowing outside of the normal operating season shall be done at a minimum of once a month to maintain a well-manicured appearance. B. Edging: Contractor shall edge around valves, well structures, pipes and other manmade structures. Also edging will be done around some trees, buildings, sidewalks, driveway, and other surfaced areas bordered by grass with each mow. C. Mowing on Banks: Contractor shall use care when mowing around levy banks and other areas surrounding bodies of water. D. Barn/Drive Areas: The area between the barn, the drive south of the barn and the entrance meters shall be kept free of vegetation E. Clean-up and Trash Removal: 1. The Contractor shall ensure all sidewalks, curbs, decks, ramps, driveways/roadways, and ground level cement/asphalt surfaces are blown free of clippings, dirt, and debris immediately after each mowing. 2. It won’t be necessary for the Contractor to remove lawn clippings from the grass associated with the lawn maintenance during each visit as long as mowing intervals are kept. 3. Clippings shall not be swept, blown, or otherwise disposed of in sewer drains.
