Description | From the information provided by the client, it is understood that the proposed development will consist of a new restroom building, pavilion, concrete pavement, asphalt trail, and utilities. The pavilion and restroom are estimated to be supported by frost depth spread footings. Proposed pavements will be flexible asphalt and rigid concrete. Primarily, pavements will be used for pedestrian traffic and will be used for occasional maintenance truck traffic. Traffic loading details were not provided. Proposed utilities include a new gravity 8-inch diameter sanitary sewer and a new 8 or 12-inch diameter watermain. Utility bearing depths were not provided but are estimated to be less than 15 feet below existing grades. Structural loads were not provided but are estimated to be light to moderate in magnitude. It is understood that the finished floor elevation of the new restroom will be about EL 947 and the finished floor of the new pavilion will be about EL 940. The invert elevations of utilities were not provided by the client. Elevations at the borings located within the proposed pavilion and restroom ranged from about EL.941 to EL. 947. Based upon elevations in the area of the proposed pavilion (EL. 941) and restroom (EL. 947), cuts of about 2 feet and fills of about 2 feet are estimated to be required to establish the floor slab elevation, respectively. However, this will also be dependent on the subgrade preparation criteria, to be discussed in a later section of this report Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. |
