Description | Contract Award Date: Sep 07, 2023 Contract Award Number: FA660623C0010 Task/Delivery Order Number: Contractor Awarded Unique Entity ID: WKMVEPVY3RJ3 Contractor Awarded Name: HENRY GENERAL CONTRACTORS INC Contractor Awarded Address: Springfield, MA 01104 USA Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $1,613,126.00 Project 13-0015 Repair Roof MEPCOM Facility, Bldg. 5411, is located at Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, MA. This acquisition is anticipated to be issued as a Firm Fixed Price contract with an estimated period of performance of three hundred three (303) calendar days from the issuance of Notice-to-Proceed. Period of performance includes a potential winter shutdown period from 01 December 2023 through 31 March 2024. This project will be solicited as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside, subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 238160 (Roofing Contractors), size standard $19.0 Million. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) expected in mid-June 2023 with an estimated thirty (30) day response period. The purpose of this project is to Repair Roof MEPCOM Facility Building 5411, an existing 1-story building consisting of an exterior brick cavity wall with metal stud back up, steel structure and asphalt shingle roof. Work includes removing and replacing the entire roof system from asphalt shingles to the top of the existing metal roof deck. The existing roof system consists of asphalt shingles, underlayment, sheathing, 2" thick rigid insulation nailers, and 3" thick rigid insulation adhered to the metal decking. The new roof system will include new asphalt shingles, underlayment, roof sheathing, air space with pressure treated wood nailers, and rigid insulation mechanically fastened to the metal roof deck. All associated flashing will be replaced. Additionally, all gutters and downspouts will be replaced. Downspouts that discharge at grade will continue to do so. Downspouts that enter the underground drainage system will be provided with new 6" cast iron downspout boots, and incidental related work. Roof dormers/louvers to be replaced. Repair deteriorated metal decking as required. Contractor to provide temporary trailer facilities to relocate a critical testing function for the duration of the contract. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. There is no Government Furnished Property supplied for this project. There will be an organized site visit planned for this solicitation, the correct time and location will be included in the solicitation. Prior to supplying a proposal, interested bidders must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM). Firms can register via the SAM internet website at https://SAM.gov. If the bidder is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity must have a valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. If at the time of award, a bidder is not successfully and actively registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective bidder. The solicitation and all supporting documentation will be posted at this site for review and download. All contractors and subcontractors interested in this project must register at this site https://SAM.gov. It is the bidder(s) responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments to the solicitation. There will be no other form of distribution for this solicitation other than downloading from this site. Notice to Potential Bidder(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are presently available for this effort. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
