Replacement of Sidewalks at Various Locations

The Village of Bemus Point is soliciting proposals for the replacement of sidewalks at various locations throughout the Village. Sidewalk Replacement Project 2023 Specifications o Locations/Approximate Area Alburtus Ave. 720 sf Center St. 1620 sf Elm St. 1136 sf Lenhart Ave. 500 sf Lakeside Dr. 360 sf Main St. (Library) 24 sf Maple St. 120 sf o Scope of Work Call for required utility locates-811 prior to excavation. Excavate and remove all existing sidewalk. Remove existing subgrade to accept 4" of washed No. 1 or No. 2 stone. Grade location to match existing sidewalk sections on either side, remove soil or other material as necessary. Provide adequate transition between new sidewalk section and adjacent sections. Install forms to accept 4" of new concrete in sidewalks in walking areas and 6" of new concrete in drivable sidewalks (driveways). Compact and mechanically tamp new subgrade and stone. Provide and pour a 4000-psi, Class A ready-mix concrete. Provide a broom finish with a light to medium texture. Install all contraction joints by hand tool in an effort to prevent and control cracking. Saw cutting joints is not allowed. Provide one application of a cure and seal product to prevent rapid dehydration and to protect the surface. Upon removal of forms, restore disturbed areas with new topsoil and grass seed.
