Description | 1. Demolition and the replacement of the existing HVAC system and all ductwork in the existing, two-story facility. New HVAC system to include a rooftop unit serving the laboratory and a VRF system with ventilation air supplied from a dedicated outdoor air unit for the existing clinic, office, and support areas. 2. No demolition or new work shall begin before the receipt of all the new equipment and materials. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a cashier's check made payable to the City of Springfield - Director of Finance, or a bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company satisfactory to the City. The bond so furnished shall be in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the total bid price. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond with surety approved by the City and on the forms approved by the City. Each bond shall be in the full amount of the contract conditioned upon the full and faithful performance of all major terms and conditions of this contract and payment of all labor and material suppliers. In submitting this bid, the bidder further agrees to pay to or allow the City as liquidated damages the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00), for each calendar day thereafter that the work does not achieve Substantial Completion for Phase I and five hundred dollars ($500.00), for each calendar day thereafter that the work does not achieve Substantial Completion for Phase The Contractor agreesto bring the work to Final Completion within thirty (30) consecutive calendar daysfrom the date of Substantial Completion; the Contractor further agreesto pay to or allow the City as liquidated damages the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00), for each calendar day thereafter that the work does not achieve Final Completion.
