Description

STIP ID WDNW-2040 This project will widen the SR 9 corridor between Marsh Rd and 2nd Street Interchange in order to relieve congestion. This will include constructing a second bridge over the Snohomish River to increase capacity and safety in the corridor. As of July 07, 2022, this project is in final planning status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2020. The contract advertisement is expected in third quarter of 2022 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the third quarter of 2025. WSDOT -SR 9/Marsh Road to 2nd Street Vic - Widening *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability. The project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
