Addition, Alterations, Renovations, Security Upgrades and Code Compliance Project at Pumpkin Delight Elementary School

The project entails the construction of a new addition, which will include a new multi-purpose space (gym/cafeteria), along with associated spaces: kitchen, storage, toilet and utility rooms, as well as a new science classroom. It also will include conversion of the existing multi-purpose space into a new media center, and conversion of the existing media center into additional educational and utility space. Other upgrades to the remainder of the building will include ADA/code renovations to toilet rooms, door hardware upgrades, hazardous material abatement, provision of new heating plant (including water heater) and distribution piping, mechanical ventilation in the 1950 section of the building, emergency lighting, secondary power and upgrades to IT/data an fire alarm systems. Alternates are being explored, to provide ventilation for the remainder of the building, air conditioning, sprinklers and a generator. Site work will include provision of new parking spaces to offset those affected by the new addition and a new internal courtyard, with associated landscaping, drainage and lighting.
