Description | **As of January 6, 2023, this project will rebid. No definite date yet but it would be sometime second or third week of January 2023 ** Pre-Bid Meeting Info: None required. No Bids Received. Project shall consist of the construction of a 500,000-gallon elevated spheroid style water storage tank, all associated piping, valves, site grading, sodding, electrical, storm sewer modifications, paving improvements, demolition of the existing 200,000-gallon tank, controls, testing and disinfection, and all other miscellaneous items of construction indicated in the plans and specifications. Project shall consist of construction of a 500,000-gallon elevated spheroid steel water storage tank. 1. Bid Section I-500,000-gallon Elevated Water Storage Tank Work shall include all excavation, water main construction within five feet of the tank foundation, a prefabricated altitude valve skid structure by EFI or equal, pipe bedding, backfilling, grading, compaction, concrete foundation, erection of tank (including production of tank and foundation drawings by a State of Nebraska Registered Professional Engineer), purchase and installation of an automatic tank mixer, tank and piping disinfection and placement into service, tank painting (with the Base Bid to include a full-color logo as depicted in Appendix "C" of these specifications, internal tank lighting, tank overflow, obstruction and site lighting, tank electrical service and related equipment, site grading and coordination with sprinkler/sod installers, installation of communications duct banks, and all other incidental work for a complete and operational water storage tank as shown on the plans and described further in these Specifications. The bid item shall be on a Lump Sum basis. 2. Bid Section II-Miscellaneous Utility Work: Work shall consist of all excavation, installation of water mains,storm sewer and related work, bedding, backfilling, grading, valves, hydrants, disinfection and testing of new water mains, connections to existing water mains, fittings, pavement/sidewalk removal, seeding, sodding, and landscaping the site, installation of sprinkler system, special inspections and testing services, and all other incidental work as further described in the plans and in these specifications. The bid item shall be on a Unit Price basis. 3. Bid Section III-Existing Tank Demolition: Work shall consist of isolating the existing Seward 200,000-gallon multilegged elevated water tower from the system, demolishing and removing the tank, existing altitude valve and structure and other miscellaneous items identified on the plans,site restoration, abandonment of onsite water mains and all other items as shown in the plans and described in the Specifications.
