Description

This project includes all the work required to expand the existing wastewater treatment plant to an average daily treatment capacity of 4.0 MGD. Work includes maintaining existing treatment capacity throughout construction, maintenance of existing flow, specified demolition, rehabilitation or repurposing of the specified existing unit processes, new administration building, construction of new processes, buildings, and systems including: headworks, 3-Stage BNR aeration basins, blowers/electrical building, clarifiers, UV disinfection system, reaeration system, outfall, solids dewatering building, new plant pumping systems, plant drains and sewer system, electrical, control and SCADA systems. The Contractor will be required to develop and implement a detailed sequence of construction that will allow the project work to proceed while maintaining existing treatment capacity. The Contract Documents, including the Plans and Specifications, are on file for public inspection at the Charlestown City Hall, 304 Main Cross Street, Charlestown, Indiana 47111, or at the office of Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz, Inc, 1829 E. Spring Street, Suite 201, New Albany, IN 47150, by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 812-945-9585. Please provide a minimum of 24-hour notice for review of the plans. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the website by paying actual costs for printing the documents. The printing costs are non-refundable. Contact Lynn Imaging for the cost of the printed sets. All addendums will be issued electronically by Lynn Imaging. Plan holders shall submit questions in writing in accordance with Section 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders. Questions from non-plan holders will not be answered.
